born on July 16, 1990 is an actor and singer born in New York, James David Maslow and raised in La Jolla, California.




He is best known for his role as James in the Nickelodeon series, Big Time Rush. He appeared as Shane in the first episode of iCarly him Isawa



Maslow began training as a singer at the age of 6 when his parents made him sing in the choir of San Diego for children. He studied in La Jolla and Torrey Pines elementary schools, Muirlands Middle School, San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. He had a small role in the Opera production of La Boheme San Diego when he was 10 years old. He attended the camp as in the theater of La Jolla, got his first agent when he was 14 and in high school played the role of Danny Zuko in Grease and as Maurius in Les Miserables. He left the School of Creative and Performing Arts halfway-through grade 10 and went to the Coronado School of the Arts.
